Default Dashboard lights out/window toggle lights out/auto door switch not working.

Cranked up my touring 06 cruiser and all the dashboard lights are out. Dome lights are out/light toggles for windows are out but windows work. auto Door lock switch doesn't work but are lit up. Headlights/taillights/fog lights come on and work fine. Checked fuses and all look good. Not sure what the problem is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW Happy New Years!!!!

Pull up on the 2 fuses marked & push them back down...do this 3-4 times to remove any debris.
If things still aren't working, if you pull the same fuses & pull to the right, the clip will usually release & you can check to see if the fuses are good.

To me, this sounds like too much to be a single fuse failure. Instead, I suspect the ignition switch. Trying turning the key back and forth and wiggling it some. Then notice if there is any change.

I would also inspect under the hood for rubbed and/or broke wires running to the power distribution module.

It seems all of your issues is controlled by the instrument cluster according to the wire diagram I have. I would suggest checking all 3 of the G202 ground wires going from the instrument cluster.

If the ground wires are good I would suggest checking the C2 plug going to the Instrument Cluster. You might have bad contacts on the C2 plug. Its possible you might have bad solder contacts on the Instrument Cluster but this is the last thing you should check if everything else checks out good.

Have you tried adjusting the instrument cluster dimmer?

I would suggest doing a full electrical diagnosis before replacing anything or removing anything.

I took another look at the wire diagram and it shows fuse #7 as a power feed for the C2 connector circuit on the Instrument Cluster as an I.O.D.

Good Catch LionPT

I have 2004 PT turbo touring. Headlights, tail lights, door locks do not work. Checked fuses all seem good. I read somewhere to check multi function switch. Does anyone know where it is?
Everything worked. Parked. Had coffee. Then door locks not work. Started car. No lights. (Signals & 4 ways & brake lights worked , park lights all worked) then driving it engine light came on and of course ding ding ding. When I touched brake ding ding stopped but still had no lights and door locks not work.
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum

You should start your own thread with your PT issues, to keep your issues separate from the OP of this thread, also so that any possible remedies to your PT will apply to your PT and not confused with this thread.

The Multi-Function Switch (MFS) is the stalk on the left of the steering wheel that you use to turn on the headlights and fog lights. This problem sounds way more involved. Usually the MFS breaks so that the fog lights are on all the time and kill the battery. Never heard any issue with the headlights (though it would be logical) taillights, or door locks (which would be illogical).

You said your check engine light came on? What were the codes? I would tell you to do the key dance, but I don't want to get scolded. If it is dinging or the CEL is flashing that is an immediate serious problem, not a wait until I get home problem.
