Default Possible Alarm System Problem ? Need help

2006 PT Cruiser Touring non-turbo
automatic Transmission
95,000 miles

Horn does not work. (checked all fuses)
Key-less remote entry does not work. (already replaced batteries in remote)

Flasher and lights go off after unlocking the door manually (just like the alarm going off, only no horn), until the key is in the ignition.
Battery light in dash stays on. (Charging system working fine)

friend had a grand prix that had an alarm that kept going off and annoying people due to a problem with the body control module or something damaged during a previus accident. the fix to prevent annoying people at 2am was to disconnect the horn.

i stumbled upon a post here yesterday where someone had an issue with the alarm going off every time the car was unlocked, and the temporary fix was to lock the doors manually. is seems the remote or power lock button arm the alarm. try locking the doors manually and see if the lights still flash when you open it.

Does the horn sound normally when you press the steering wheel pad?

The horn doesn't function when you press the steering wheel pad. Your right, the horn could have been disconnected to avoid listening to alarm going off. Any idea where the horn is located? or where the alarm is controlled ?

I've only had it a couple of weeks. The alternator is charging at over 14 volts and the battery works fine. It has all been tested.

The horn is under the passenger side fender...you have to remove the plastic wheel well to get to it.
