It's got rev limiter to keep you from blowing the engine up. That is, if you're sitting still revving it, right? If if won't go above 3,000 rpms while driving it, then THAT is a problem that needs to be addressed.

As already stated, it's likely the rev limiter.

Take her out on the road and see if she rev's like she should. Then come back and let us know.

Also, you should introduce yourself in the new members section.

PS: I got surprised by the same thing about a year and a half ago. It was at about 4000 rpm on my 2005 GT.

You're all assuming it's an automatic. I dumped the clutch higher than that daily

Hey Rob, that's because you are a wild man. And that tain't no PT you be a'cluchin neither.

For the OP, as "Wildman Rob" indicated, that rev limiter thing is for PT's with automatic transmissions. Not sure it applies if you have a manual tranny. Might still when in neutral, but I don't know for sure.

Ya' know, I don't think I do either. Not completely sure of the "grab bag" of stuff I got with this custom Stage 1 PCM.

Nitro, you've got me wondering. I'm going to check this evening. Hope I don't have the report the results in the "You know you deliberately broke it" thread.
VsandFords and Carnut like this.

Good question? I went in and turned mine off? I do not remember ever testing it when I played with the MOPAR Stage 1 uploaded PCM?

It is really not something that should be turned off unless you are need to do advance PCM calibration changes anyway.

Yep. I have no reason to need it. Drive rev limited is set to 6600. Doesn't say anything about the neutral/park limiter. But I'll find out.

Did you do yours with that Beta CMR software that DS gave out a few years ago?
