A few days ago I started her up and got a gascap message on the dash. I cleared that and it seemed to go away. This morning I got an engine light on the dash and checked the code with my reader. P0440. The app goes on to mention about the IAC and purge valve.
Most searches list the gas cap and or NVLD as the culprit. What's odd is that the code will not read when the key is set to RUN and not started. Once the car is started the code appears. Also the code will not clear and/or immediately comes on the instant the car is started. Is any of this pointing in one direction or another? ALSO, bonus question. Will a bad tire pressure sensor fail inspection? (MD) if it matters. Thanks for any help. |
