THANKS for keeping these UNIQUE cars alive!
Just wanted to throw out a quick BRAVO ZULU, OOH-RAH and SIERRA HOTEL for all of you keeping these cool, unique cars running. I see a lot of cars at dealer auctions, and many cars, including most PT Cruisers, are only worn out due to owner negligence and lack of care.
For example, I saw a 10-year old Mercedes- Benz SUV today with 260,000 miles, and it looked like a brand new car. However, I also saw an 08 PT that looked like it hadn't been washed, vacuumed, waxed or generally given any care since the last Bush was President. In other words, one car was like new because of an owner that spent the time and $$ to take care of it, while the other one, which probably cost 1/3 as much, was worthless because it had not gotten even the most minimum of care.
And, for anyone that thinks the original MSRP determines how long a car will last, BALONEY! I've also seen Caddies, Lincolns, Lexus and many others trashed out well before their time, due to lack of care and maintenance.
So, WELL DONE to those of you helping to keep a car with virtually no equal to it in terms of design, character, and just generally a blast to drive!
Oh, BTW, it will be 78 tomorrow in Texas.....the top is going down on the PT convertible again!!!!
Joe
