I just received a call from a shop and they say it is the water pump that went out. How much should that cost to fix? They quoted me $830. I only paid $700 for the entire car. I am completely stranded without it. Just want advice on wether or not Inam being lied to for more money.

I would get a second opinion.

You have a history of what has been done to the PT Cruiser?

Thank you for your imput. I really need this car to run.
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your coolant issue. I have carefully read your posts and post #7 and #9 seem to not justify a water pump failure due to the massive leak you describe. Water pumps do fail and leak, usually much slower than your description of your car's leak. Without a close personal inspection of your car, based on your events leading up to the leak, it does sound like you damaged the radiator when you hit that object you mentioned. The tanks on these radiators are plastic and can easily be broken. In addition, if you indeed do have a water pump failure it is a labor intensive job and the cost is in the labor charge, the pump itself is not that expensive. Perhaps you live close to a member that can look at your car and help you diagnose the leak, as Lion Pt stated the picture is inconclusive for isolating the problem. As I said though, your leak is most likely the radiator and that would be a much more pocketbook friendly repair.
