I don't see any bent frame ect. just around the front of the fender and rad support. ive got a radiator already. I can get a fender headlight hood battery tray and bumper for 40$. its fully loaded. rockers have been replaced. car has 88k miles. I can get it for 700$. is it worth it. I wanted to bang the damage out and drive it. anyone ever deal with this kind of damage before

This is why you should have your location. I have a near perfect body cheaper than that.

Pictures are no very good. A headon shot would have been nice. Rockers been replaced ? That is very worrisome. I have to ask what was used to replace these? and I didn't see any info on the model and Year.

Depending on where you live, this is TOO money for a wrecked PT Cruiser. That's a $300 car at best. It's worth about $200 for scrap metal. Plus, once it's fixed (if it can be), it's only 20,000 miles from needing a timing belt and timing accessories replacement. That's $1000 to $1500 if you can't do it yourself.

If you look around on Craigslist you can like find a sub-$1000 PT that needs far less work and where there is no risk of a bent frame.

Price is relevant to your location and what these are selling for. Here in my state damaged vehicles with a clear title don't go all that cheap. So you need to go by that.

The asking price on my car was $500 and it is turbo convertible. I offered the girl a $1000 since her friends had the title and I wanted to help her out. A clean well-running non-modified turbo convertible like mine would likely sell on Craigslist between $2500 and $3000. Like with just about all cars, the verts hold their value better. In comparison, my beloved 2001 Limited would only be worth half of what it was three years ago, down from $2400 to around $1200 today.

Overall, the value of the wagons has continued to drop. Like I said, you can often find a sub-$1000 PT that needs less work. There was a clean-looking GT the other day for $800 that just needed a turbo. Of course it likely needed a few other things. But it's probable that the NA that the OP found would need a few other things too. And being around 80K miles, it will need the timing job done soon. Very clean PT's with broken timing belts often bring $700 or less. Thus to me, it would make more sense to buy one of those sense the buyer is going to need to do that job anyway.

A junkyard would pay only $200-250 for that car since it has no battery and is wrecked. They only pay $325 for complete unwrecked PT if it has a radio and a battery, no matter how accessorized, Turbo or NA, or whatever. The yards here are getting regular influx of low mile PTs with bad timing belts as their only sin. Sadly, when a car enters a junkyard it will never see the street again.
