Hi All,
I'm having trouble replacing the belt on a 200LX, I thought maybe someone here could help. Does anyone have access to a manual or experience with the 200LX 2.4? Or know of a specific writeup for the serpentine belt? The belt won't go back on and the tensioner doesn't look like any pictures I've found. I'm moving it as much as I can (which is maybe 1/2 inch) but I still need about 1/2 inch more. I'm sure the belt routing is correct, it can really go on only one way. I'm really scratchin' my head on this one so any help would be appreciated. |

Are you sure you're trying to move the actual belt tensioner and not just a stationary idler? I've seen it happen. If the tensioner isn't moving, then you probably need to replace it. It could be frozen.

Naw, its the tensioner. It does move, just not enough. It may be bad though. I'll. See when I get back to it later.

It's amazing how much tension some of those bad boys hold. A longer extension on a wrench always comes in handy. I have 3 different length cheater bars that I use from time to time. And NONE of them are PVC. All metal.
