Default New to me pt cruiser

I just bought 2001 limited with 136,000 miles.I wanted it as it came with complete tow bracket and bar to tow behind motor home.Yes it is a 5 speed. The person I got it from had it for a year,he said he replaced ideler pully, two belts, shift cable and a brake sensor which he gave me receipts. He said previous owner did water pump and timing belt but no proof of that.It runs and drives very good only thing he said was oil seal for cv joints have small leak and he gave me the seals.I want this car to be a reliable tow vehicle behind my motorhome so maybe some of you seasoned owners could tell me what I should do to be sure it's good.It does run very well and paint is very good also.
Thanks so much,Tom

sounds like a great deal and hi from Missouri

as far as maintance you mentioned the biggee the timing belt
water pump and tensioners the rest is pretty much like any other 16 year old car front wheel bearings are some times a pain the fan is not as good as it should be and I guess motor mounts can get bad pretty quick

Yes the timing belt concerns me that's a biggie for sure since there is not much history and I'm in this car right so I can spend some money.

Not sure about how many owners.I think I'm the third owner. Purchased February 2017.
Changed engine oil and Trans filter and fluid.
Changed the washer nozzles.
Waiting for the weather to change and Then I will change the timing belt and water pump, Motor Mounts All. Brakes. Bell crank. and I am sure I will find other little things to change.
I love this car! it's the only car I have ever gone looking for. instead of just looking for best used car at the best price. magoo NC
