Default Halfshaft differences from getrag and nvt350

Are there any differences between those two halfshafts? I need to know because I'm getting an nvt350 and I wanted to use GT shafts just in case nvt ones aren't available.

I believe that the Getrag has an intermediate shaft on the right side. The NA PT with the T350 just has a one long shaft on the right side. Also, the Getrag uses 28 spine inboard shafts and the automatic and T350 use 25 spine inboard shafts. All outboard shafts are 26 spline at the hubs. I've never had the privilege to mess with the Getrag PT tranny myself so you will need to confirm this for yourself.

actually handy the t350 has more splines than the auto. this was in reference to a previous axle post. i would not know if diameter, spline length, etc were the same as the turbo though.

I truly like reading members responding with internet found information and state at the end they have never done it themselves and that the information may be questionable! Refreshing.

Thanks Rob. I tried, but couldn't verify that. And I have messed with a T350. The ones I've seen are all 25 spline. And like our favorite part-time mechanic and full time fake engineer inferred, I checked the best online sources and couldn't find any listings for the other numbers of splines except on the Getrag.

Of course, it's also very hard to find anything on the intermediate shaft too. I got mine from Rock Auto but had to order it based on the Mopar part number and not an application. It's always possible that some early manual PT's had a different spline number. Where's Chrome Nut and the other really knowledgeable guys on this stuff when you need them?

Turbo ATX axels fit the t350 with no mods, including intermediate shaft. I have no info on getrag stuff
