Default Water inside doors

Hi all. I was listening to my radio yesterday and i was hearing a new rattle in my drivers side door. I ended up pulling the panel off to find my speaker was blown. So i pulled the speakers and ran out to get new ones and stopped at the car wash. My fiance washed the car and I saw water coming into the doors in a stream. I was busy admiring my new speakers i just bought for 175. What would cause this do they have a channel set in the door to allow water to flow out. It seems the black panel on the outside the mirror mounts too can separate from the body if you apply pressure. I think that may be the cause. I am thinking i could use a silicone and seal that area. I really don't want to ruin my new speakers i also have bought baffles to surround them for safety.

There should have been a plastic vapor barrier on the door and cuped behind the speaker.

I have the barrier but there were no cups for speakers behind doors when I got it. I will just install the baffles I bought when they get here.

Shouldn't there be a couple of drain holes in the bottom of the door?

The issue is solved just installed speaker baffles I got on ebay and the sound is so much better due to the speaker baffles also.
