Out with the old, in with the new

Just 'upgraded' to a newer PT.

Had my '05 for the past 3 years and boy did it go through hell. I've replaced the engine, mounts, bushings .. you name it, over the past few years. Had a drunk driver run a red light and I T-boned them which knocked the bumper cover off (been driving around with bungee cords holding it in place) and pushed the fender into the door. Its got some scrapes and bruises but keeps on going. Its seen some action since I've owned it. My 15 year old son loves the car and is going to get a job and wants to fix it up for himself. So, I figured it would be a good time to get myself a newer one.

Ended up going to a out of town small dealership and found an 09 Touring sitting there in mint condition. Cleanest PT i have seen in a very long time. 115,000 miles. Originally they wanted $3200 for it but I guess they wanted it gone so offered it to me for $2500. So i took the plunge and purchased it. Still getting used to the difference between the 05 and 09 (i am very partial to the 1st gen PTs). Getting used to the uncomfortable seats and the modern dash but overall i am very pleased with the car. Still has the 'new car' scent to it. It was very well taken care of, never smoked in and driven lightly. The only thing missing is a sun roof, ugh. The steering wheel is oddly worn, which i have yet to figure out.
