Sounds like a racecar now !! Why ?

I have a 2001 Pt crusier base model (Plain, nothing fancy) well recently i changed my oil well, 5000 miles ago at least, had my spark plugs changed, spaced at ,040 or ,40 i believe changed my pcv valve and the hose, (Used a rubber hose that i brought from autozone that i had to SQUEESE in, well i had a small leak which turned out to be the transmission hose but before i knew that i thought it was engine oil so i added a quart or two before my transmission hose gave out and came off leaving my tranny empty, well now i drive and my engine or tranny has a roar and when i approch 50mph i feel my feet and hands vibrating and it sounds like im driving a souped up honda civic, whats going on ? Any thoughts ?

That PCV valve hose might be your problem if it's sucking itself closed.

You say you added oil, but did you check to see it if was low before you added it? If not then you may have over-serviced the engine with oil and the crank is churning it all up at speed.

I would get it on level ground, warm it up, and check your oil level to rule that possibility out.

You also said you had a transmission leak, did you ever check your transmission fluid level?

You said the transmission lost oil. Did you drive it without oil? Did you refill it?

Must have been something simple like servicing the transmission or draining a little engine oil due to over-service....
