Default The things people haul in a PT

I saw this on the internet today.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a 35-year-old Mexican man who allegedly had 42 pounds of methamphetamine stuffed into his PT cruiser.

The man was arrested Friday at the Port of Nogales DeConcini crossing in Arizona, about 70 miles south of Tucson. The meth, valued at about $126,000, was found in the rear quarter panels of the vehicle and in the windshield wiper reservoir.

Is there anybody with a good or unique story about what they have hauled in a PT Cruiser?

Today was the first day I hooked up the trailer. It pulled great. You could tell it was there but, it wasn't lugging the engine down.

Trying to give this old entertainment center to someone who might want it. There are about 150 people working in the D/C and main office. I'm NOT taking it back home!

Cool Re: The things people haul in a PT

I helped a friend move years ago when the PT was new. He had one of those old console tv's, you know in the huge wooden cabinet... It basically filled the entire back of the car with the rear seats folded flat! It barely fit through the tailgate opening!

I can fit a futon in the back of mine. The futon splits in half and each half folds flat. Then I can stack them and just fit perfectly without blocking the rear window. Then I can put all of my junk around it, computer, flat screen TV, laundry to pad it all up. I can basically move 90% of my stuff, short of a bed, and desk. Great hauling for me.

Mine got stuffed to the roof for a remote drum tracking session recently with basically an entire mobile recording studio, including some huge overhead boom stands (and a dozen other mike stands, mics, cables, cables, cables, computer gear, monitors, several guitars, etc...)

In my 03 Dream I have hauled around forty bags of garden soil, a fence full of lumber, washers and dryers, lots of furniture including an old maple Early American style drop leaf table and six chairs, a whole bunch of of PT cruiser parts including hoods, front fenders, accessory side trim and matching tailpiece, the complete interior of a 07 Ford Fusion and eight wheels from a 2002 Dream to the tire shop to have tires removed and swapped around.
I do have a trailer hitch and have pulled a Uhaul car dolly, noisy and heavy, as well as the 14 ft Starcraft pop up I bought a couple of months ago but not on a trip yet. It weighs 1400 lbs which may not work well after it and the car are loaded with camping stuff. I may have to take the Fusion on that trip.
So I can say with no doubt that at least my Dream has been a very utilitarian vehicle as well as the most fun I've had with a car in years.

I carried 30 desktop PC's in mine for a Boy Scout project. Was able to fit my Boy Scout in there too.
