Default For those that have had a rough idle ......

Many have posted about this problem, but I don't recall reading any thread where someone came back and told what was wrong with their PT.

My 02 had a rough idle that appeared out of nowhere and had no engine or warning light pop up. No codes were being thrown either.

For mine, the problem was the IGNITION COIL and one bad FUEL INJECTOR.

The dealer told me that the distributor can also cause the same problem, but luckily for me (or not, depending on how you look at it), that wasn't the case.

Since they're so adept at lying, how much did they charge for this service ?I'm curious to compare the alldata work hours to those the shop billed and see how much they inflated the standard work times.

And that is why I didn't take it to the dealer to be fixed. LOL But yes, that is what I was told on the phone by a Chrysler service department manager.
