Default End Links

Hey folks. I have that annoying clunk in the front end. Replaced the lower motor mount and control arm. However, the friend that was helping me (and did most of the work) reinstalled the sway bar end links. I'm pretty sure those are whats making the clunk. They don't seem to be mushroomed and I'm seeing a little bit of space. I can't replace them this week. How do I tighten them? I try tightening by the bottom nut, but the bolt spins. I don't see anything to grab to keep it from spinning.

Good right up. I currently have the oem end links. For now I just need to silence them until I can get a new set.

Thank you,

Generally unless the end link bushing are damaged, missing or the fasteners very lose many times it is the frame support bushing that are casing the clunking sound. If you just tighten the end link bushing stung not over tight they should quiet down until you can replace them. Don't forget to apply a little rubber lubricant on the bushings.

For the end links that are on now. How exactly do I tighten them? I don't see another nut for me to clamp onto. When I just try to tighten the bottom the whole thing spins in place. I'm sure I sound pretty stupid, lol.

Mine isn't like that. I still have the factory setup with no nut on top. Maybe just find a nut to put on the top? http://www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/...1&d=1491257120

Some vice grips on the fixed washer end worked when I removed my originals.
Should serve to tighten as well!

Yep, when I replaced the OEM ones on mine, I had to do what JDK52 suggested. Vise grips work just fine. You WON'T be able to silence the old ones, so don't waste your time trying. They're most likely shot.
