Default Remote starter

On the2003 PT that I bought one set of keys has a pad for a remote starter. The brand is Ultra. When I tried it it didn't do anything so I changed out the battery in it and then I got the remote to lock and unlock the doors but still did not start the car. My question does anyone know where they would normally install the device that would actually get the car to start remotely?

Default Re: Remote starter

unless the remote start module was installed to remote start, and it worked before, perhaps it's non functional.

and it's common for them to fail between 7-10 years. either the remote or the module itself.

gen 1 PTs never had OEM specifications for a remote start module, but the gen 2 PTs did.
