laundry list of probems

What a day. I took the PT to Firestone today to try and track down my front end clunk and have the car looked over for other issues. Some of the stuff I already knew. Need a control arm for the drivers side, end link, brake fluid leak at the wheel on drivers side an oil leak which they added dye to try and track and all of my tires have tiny chunks taken out of them. My only main concern is that oil leak.

Also they have that the passengers control arm was missing grease fittings. The friend that helped me install it has a 1st year PT and he's changed his arms, Im thinking he'd know if It needed fittings. But we could be wrong. Any ideas on the fittings and the oil leak? The car doesn't feel like it's losing compression. But when I have a passenger it rides very rough due to the front end.

The only grease fitting would be on the ball joints, you can see it in the pic below at the upper right. Where did you get the replacement control arm from and/or what brand is it?

Autozone and Duralast. The other will be here tomorrow. I didn't see a grease fitting.

For the supposed oil leak. I'm wondering if the car wash I went through today that sprays under the car is just kicking up old oil deposits on the engine. I've parked over some plywood tonight to see if the green dye they point in the engine shows up.

This suspension issue is ridiculous. A friend went through the same thing with his PT and while I was at Firestone, another PT was there going through the same issues.

The front struts have a bearing mount at the top to allow the wheel/strut to pivot, if old or worn these will rattle.

For the oil leak, if its coming from the passenger side you will have to remove the lower splash shield to have any idea, could be:
crank seal, cam seals, power steering line, valve cove.

If its coming from driver side, I've had to replace the transmission cover behind the drivers wheel due to it rusting through
on a few used Neons and PT Cruisers, the north east salt just keeps eating away.
