Re: The Clutch Nightmare
Well another twist... finally found a garage that know their isht and it seems i had a leaking seal from the gearbox onto my clutch and thats why 3 clutches went bad! they had to manufacture a tool just to get the old seal out (metal and rubber seal) and i should get it back soon...so it seems due to a poor quality garage that didnt spot the leak i wasted money on a main agent clutch master-slave, and a £400 main agent mopar(sachs) clutch when the £150 blueprint one might of been up to the job ill never know as two of them have now gone in the bin, but it seems the answer is now clear.......shame you get some crap mechanics along the journey to the final fix. a £350 original bill +£160 slave +£400new clutch +? for the last final labour repair= A LOT
cant wait to get this car back its been almost 2 months in garages and well over 6 now since my first clutch went and living with a slipping when hot clutch while driving sucked!! put your foot down and the opposite of what suppost to happen happens!
summary...if you ever find a real good garage with experts who see things easily that you can trust, instead of young car kid wannabee mechanics who want to look for excuses why its your drivings fault or magic rather than looking for the real problem that they cant fathom right in front of their eyes... then be happy and go drive your car!!!
