What's it for?
What's this unconnected dark grey plug under the passenger seat for. I never noticed it till the seat was "professionally fixed" and reinstalled. I found them hanging down there.
Is the dark grey plug just built into the wiring for something SOOO BIG doesn't have? I got underneath and hooked the connected yellow plug that runs to the seat and the disconnected dark grey one in what appeared to be the appropriate mount holes on the seat base. Please advise. Likely for heated/ power seats.
I will check wiring diagram. Edit: Yes the connector for power/ heated seats id black. ptprice likes this.

I would guess something related to the heated seats. This thread may be of some help.

Just to note, yellow plugs and wiring is often used for the airbag system. Use care with yellow plugs and wiring.

My 02 had side airbags in the seats and like someone previously said, yellow is for airbag systems. I suspect that is used for models with side airbags and I am not sure if yours has them or not.
If you do not have airbags, I would suspect they produce one harness for all models and that connector is not used. Just a guess though.
