best used cars for $5000

Finding the best used cars for sale under 5000 can be a challenge! $5000 is not much of a budget when you’re looking for a car and I am sure you’re asking yourself well what compromises am I going to have to make to find a used car for sale under 5000 that is going to get me from A to B reliably?

I am looking for something on $5000. Is it possible to find the best used cars for sale under 5000.

Any Information ???

If you can find a used Chrysler 200 with the 2.4 in it in that price range, buy it. I've got a 2013 with 144,000 trouble free miles. I had to replace one wheel bearing. That's all I've done to it except routing maintenance. The 2.4 is one of the best engines Chrysler had produced. It's easy to work on in a 200, not so much in a PT.

This is very easy. The answer hands-down is a mid to late 2000's Toyota Avalon. I did a whole thread on this while getting one for my daughter. And yes, I did spend $6,200 for the one I bought. But I did find some for $5000 or less and that's been eight months ago. Prices have continued the fall.

These cars are roomy, powerful, very smooth riding, great on fuel and have extremely long lives. Of course, any older car will need some maintenance time to time. But many Toyotas from this period made in the Japanese 6-sigma factory can easily achieve 300,000 miles without a major repair. And those Avalons were the best of the best. The new ones can't touch them.

I've had great luck with my Fiat 500 so far, and unfortunately (or in your case fortunately) the resale value on this has dropped like a rock! You can pick us a nice 2013 or 2014 with under 50K miles for less than $5000... Not everyone's favorite car, but I've enjoyed mine and its surprisingly roomy inside.

The later 2.4 has nothing to do with Chrysler Chuzz. It's call the world engine. Hyundai, KIA, Chrysler, and someone else, developed this engine to use in there products. I'm finishing up a motor swap on this particular engine. The research I have done will lead to confusion with the Chrysler 2.4. The owner of mine had a oil leak. So no telling how long or how low it got ran. Had a knock. The motor I bought had been sitting for a few years. At a junk yard. Low mileage. I got it last year. They priced it to sell. Obviously know one ever need it. Nothing of complaint on these did I find actually pertaining to this 2.4. So must be good engine. So these cars would all be good prospects. Like others mentioned above. Toyota, Honda are hard to beat. But pricey. I have good luck with Chrysler, fords, and Chevy's. But I have a hard time selling a ford car. No matter how sweet it is. I've always had great luck with the 4.0 liter jeeps ...... Norminally my budget is less then half of yours, but I always manage to have at least 1 in the fleet
