I am quite happy with it also... it is important to apply it correctly, though. It helps out here in the Great Pacific NorthWet.

I've always liked it too!

I love the way bug splats wipe right off with a little wiper fluid and the wipers after using Rain-X. No more bug smears all day long.

I've been using Rain-X for a number of years. It's great stuff. I do most of my driving on Philly highways and depending on rainy-day traffic conditions, I can travel for miles at 60 MPH & up without having to use my wipers. Car & truck mist is a problem but with pure rain, it's great.

For those who want it off - give it some time - it wears off.

The main problems with Rain-X is 2-fold, 1 it is silicone based and 2 it tends to fog/haze in humid conditions.
Why does it matter if is silicone based?

I've never had it fog/haze on humid conditions on the outside. On the inside, YES. But I used Rain X Anti-Fogging solution.

I do have problems with streaking on the windows when I apply too much and do not wipe too well. Of course, the streaks don't really bother me that much since the main benifit is that I hardly use my wipers. They are really great on those rare times we get really bad rain. I know at one time I didn't use Rain-X and the rain was really bad, I could hardly see. The wipers were not fast enough to wipe the water off. Another time when I did use Rain-X, the water just beads.

I use it and it works very well. It does fog up on the outside in the mornings on humid condtions but flip on the defrost and its gone. I don't apply it often because it does build up. I only apply it on front window. I have not noticed any streaking because I buff it off very well with a lint free cloth. But what works for some might not work for all. Just my 2 cents.

Have you tried some denatured alcohol. It cleans most everything off.[:I]
I just put Rain-X today. Looking at the bottle, it also contains denature alcohol, so this for sure would not work.
