If forum member Myckee doesn't have one for me, my choice would be these guys. Supposedly, they do actually test their PCM's before sending them out. I was very happy with the one I bought from them. And you get a lifetime warranty.

2003-2006 2.4 Automatic CHRYSLER PT CRUISER Computer ECM PCM ECU Replacement

Again though, check with Myckee first. He sells good used PCM's and he can write you VIN in it so it will be plug and play. Here's a link to his PM:

I would pay the core fee and hold onto your PCM until you know for sure your get a working replacement and it will operate for at least 8 hours before you exchange or return your OEM PCM

That all I m going to say about this. You have been advised.

The vendor on Ebay that I got my PCM from also had a $100 core fee. You could pay the core fee or return your old PCM to activate their Lifetime Warranty. I didn't want to give up the original PCM from my PT. First, I tried several local U-Pull-It yards to find a PCM to send in for the core. No PCM's could be found. I then called a local place the refurbishes PCM's and for $65 I got one of their cores to send in as my core. I had already previously contacted the Ebay seller if this was acceptable. It was as long as the core I sent in was from a Gen2 PT, of which it was. So in the end, I was able to keep the original PCM from my PT and it cost me $65 for the Lifetime Warranty, which is still better than paying the $100 core fee from the Ebay seller.
