I sure do Charlie, in the Netherlands Europe our cars have to be inspected and certified every year, so if I can rule out a repair by having it done now instead of next year, why not.

Gives me a safer feeling driving the car too.

Oh boy, last Wednesday morning the ignition key would NOT turn after filling the PT up.

Help arrived soon to conclude it was toast and had to be replaced, left all parts stripped so I could turn the actual switch with another key.

Went to a shop 3 mins down the road, to my surprise met a neighbor who lives a block further down the road there, never new he was a tech guy in that shop, his boss arranged all and when I returned home last Friday the ignition key had been dropped of.

Now that's trust, that's service. I'm off from work Monday so will pay them a visit to settle my debt.

Get used to it.
PT Cruiser is a mechanics special. If you are not a home mechanic and don't like or can't work on cars, it can ruin you financially.

We will miss you, Brutuz. You are one of the good guys we need on this forum.

Sorry the PT didn't work out for you. In the US, PT Cruisers are extremely cheap and salvage parts and new replacement parts are very common and easy to get. So with a little mechanical skill, almost anyone in the US can keep a PT running pretty well indefinitely for not too much money. But I'm sure it's very different where you live.

Please come by and visit now an then. And remember, you don't have to own a PT Cruiser to be one of the group on this forum. You are always welcome here with us.

Good to read, means a lot, thanks

Yep life is expensive overhere and rulez are all over the place. I live urban, hard to find a space to park, no room for tech stuff, one has to have a high income to own a house w. a garage/driveway. So I depend on shops to help out w. repairs.

Oh Huundees break down too: cars are like a lottery.

Definitely stay around, Brutuz. I don't have a PT anymore and am here damned near every day. I'm sure there's probably a few members that would just as soon see me leave, but I can't give in to their satisfaction! LOL
