If you're going to replace the radiator I'd replace the radiator hoses, and thermostat and of course use new coolant.

Even though I have the tool for factory spring clamps I don't care for them and and always replace them with a good quality screw type,

When you have the radiator out it's also a good time to check the transmission cooler lines

^^^ I agree with dsab. And you might even want to go as far as flushing the heater core and replacing the heater hoses. No point in half-assing a job that you don't want to do twice.
dsab likes this.

I also had my heater core lines rust out (the metal before the hoses to the heater core) and had to have new ones put in. I'd give those a check too.

Another thing to consider replacing is the O ring on the inlet pipe to the water pump. I had to get this at the Dealer as the parts stores don't carry it. The cost was about $8.50 but I noticed there was some seepage on a recent repair and wanted to avoid a future failure
