None are bad some are better.

I have tried to recommend that a better choice is Airtex AW7167

I was looking at the gates water pump at rock auto and it say "A small amount of coolant leaking from the weep hole is normal. Small drips are OK.Longer streams or continuous leaking may indicate a problem" I don't thank a want any leaking on my timing belt. Thanks for the link "ptcruisersteve" I thank I will take your recommendation NitroPT" and go with the AIRTEX

I am planning to use an turbo Airtex water pump on my N/A Pt Cruiser when I change my timing belt.

There are several reasons to look at an Airtex water pump. Improved casting over other brands including OEM, less frictional fluid drag, timken bearing and seal. Proven engineering design to lower the chances of high RPM cavitation and improved water flow volume.

This is what NitroPT posted in another thread. I would wait to have NitroPT answer your question about a specific Airtex water pump. NitroPT has much more information than I do about Airtex water pumps and he currently uses them on his own PT Cruiser.

I can't say that about other water pump brands for a PT Cruiser.
I also want to add that in the last couple or few years I have regularly RACED my PT Cruiser 1/4 mile with no heating issues or AIRTEX water pump failures.

For me, I'm a big fan of the American/Canadian made Gates waterpump. The turbo pump comes with a steel impeller as opposed the to the plastic impeller on the OEM and Chinese made pumps like Airtex. If you get this in the kit with rest of the timing belt components, you also get documentations and a decal to go under the hood showing when the timing belt was changed. The way I see it, if you are going to do all this work yourself, you might as well use high quality parts.
