Default 2005 ignition housing removal

Does anyone know how to remove the cast housing for the ignition cylinder from the actual steering column? It seems to wiggle but not come off. Have the column stripped of anything that is in the way, including the steering wheel and all the ignition parts, except the cast housing. This is a parts car Im stripping down.
Thanks, Vince

Do you have a copy of the Service Manual?

Thanks. Downloaded it.
Looked thru the whole section. It shows how to do everything except remove the cast ignition housing that is attached to the steering wheel end of the steering column.
Anyone else ever try to do this? Maybe I have to take out the whole column, and that is replaced with the cast housing.

are you implying you're trying to remove the cast aluminum part shown here off the steel tube?

you've removed the steel brace and the two bolts marked with red arrows?

i'm curious as to WHY you'd bother if only stripping down a parts car
