Default 2006 pt cruiser

this is my daughter's pt cruiser so I'm not to familiar with the vehicle. When she starts her car or even just turns the key on her interior lights come on and stay on. I know that recently she loaded her car to return to college so I'm wondering could she have possibly hit a switch somewhere in the car that may have turned these interior lights on, or maybe there is a switch located on the dash board she may have hit unintentionally. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Check the multifunction switch (MFS). It's on the turn signal stem on the left side of the steering wheel column. There is a part that rotates on the end (headlight) and an inner part which dims the dial lights at night. Twist that part to see if you can turn off the dome light.

You can download an owner's manual for the 06 Cruiser here:

And, your dome lite may be set to illuminate for an additional 30-90 seconds after the ignition key is removed ..
