Default R.I.P. PT... :(

Two months ago, this Monday, I was rear-ended in my PT, by someone in a Toyota SUV who was not paying attention.

My beloved 2003 Base Model PT was destroyed/totaled in the crash (which sent me to the E.R.-I am still recovering).

Anyone in SoCal have a 2003-2005 PT in Patriot Blue, with cloth upholstery, low mileage, and a stick shift for sale?

My other alternative is a Fiat 500X...

Thank you all in advance.

Sorry to hear you got banged up in the crash.
I hope your recovery is fast and all goes well.
I am also sorry to hear you lost your PT.
It sucks to lose a car you love.
It sounds like the accident wasn't your fault.
I hope you at least got a fair shake from the insurance company on the claim.

Very sorry to read about your accident. But I'm glad to hear you are recovering.

Right now GT and turbo Limited PT's don't cost much more than base models. So when you go to replace yours, consider a turbo model. And whatever you get, please come back and tell us about it and let us know how you are doing. We may bicker sometimes, but the members on this forum are a tight family. And you are one of us.

My respectful condolences to you. I hope your recovery is short.

I would suggest staying away from the 2003 turbo model. More problems than the other years.

Sorry to hear about your accident and the loss of your PT.

Wishing you a speedy recovery

You can try this website, there are a couple of replacement PT's within a 500 mile radius of where you live:

https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...sModified=true

Hopefully you can find a nice replacement PT

Sorry to hear that you and your PT got damaged. I wouldn't suggest buying anything that you might hear about from the South right now. You might end up getting a car that was submerged by Harvey or Irma flooding. Be very particular in what you consider. And like Steve said, I second the idea of staying away from an 03 model GT. I used to own one. USED TO. Godspeed and I hope you recover quickly and the moron that hit you has good insurance. And get a lawyer. Don't sign any agreements with the other party until you do.

Take care bro.
Not sure if this is wrong by asking, but provide some pics of the damage done in the crash. I always wondered what a rear end crash would do to a PT.
Can I assume the air bag went off as well?

I'm sorry to hear about your wreck. Beige kills another one. What is it with Toyota drivers? Concentrate more on healing, the car can be replaced. I'm awaiting the final judgement on my own wrecked Dart - Hit by a Toyota Tundra.
