Default Timing belt replacement

I did a timing belt and water pump replacement on my 2001 PT Cruiser. I had a hard time getting all 4 timing marks lined up. The timing is off just a little but not much. The car is running good. No backfiring or spark knocking.

I would like to know:
1. would this cause any problems later?
2. Will I burn up my values or push rods?

again everything seems to be running good just don't want to cause any damage to anything

First you don't use the outer marks. What is your line up as you discribe it? So we can see what you have.

As Busted_PT posted you only want to look at the inner marks as show below.

Ignore the green line. The inner red marks should line up with the center of both camshaft sprockets.

Steve; I believe he is right. I've looked at all the pictures. And looks like on the top at least.

Your upper marks look fine, but we can't see the lower one.
The thing to remember about the timing belt is that with the stock setup, you can only adjust it in one tooth increments. If you think it may not look textbook perfect, you can only move it by a whole tooth at a time. If a whole tooth in either direction makes it WAY off, then it was right the first time.

Did that make sense?
