End of last week; but things have been busy...
Oil change (High Mileage Pennzoil synthetic blend) and 4 new tires.
Firestone All season BL. I'd been milking old Michelin's for quite a few years and wanted to make sure I had something safe through the rainy season in FL. I could feel the difference right away.
Service tech (he's been taking care of the PT for several years now) says everything is running great, just keep driving!

As I've said many times before, "It's running so well it makes me nervous!"

Now I have to touch up the paint on the wheels that were chipped when the tires were mounted. I expected that.

Shouldn't have said that

I finally got tired of listening to the click clack in the rear of my 2004 turbo lite. I figured it was the watts link. I am making a 300 mile trip tomorrow so I wanted to fix it.

It was the watts link. And it was a lot easier to replace then I thought. I figured the hardware was going to be really rusty crusty. A little PB Blaster and about 20 minutes of wrenching and it's a done deal. It was easy. FWIW I used a Pitman arm puller to press the control arms out, I tighened it really tight and a whack with a hammer and they popped right out.

Why the hell did I wait so freaken long? Grr... It was a easy job. I will have a much nicer ride tomorrow.

Is there any picture of the watts link on the PT?
I had a sound when going over bumps in the front and changed the stabilizer bar ends and bushings and it was quiet for some months, now i have som clonk again, just not sure if it's front or back but i suspect it's in the front. What else typically goes bad in the front suspension causing this sound?

You know that look your spouse gives you when you bring car part in the house to wash them in the kitchen sink? Well, I got that look today. Brought in both air box parts to wash them. I then painted them deep cranberry red to match the vanity cover and the body color. I think it turned out ok.

You can use the website Imgur to host your pics, then attach them to your post. It's free and works great!

I normally either upload em here or stick em on my Facebook, and it works fine.
For some reason it wasn't uploading here though, and I was rushing - I'll have more time this evening and try and do a little write up for the other poor bas- - er, lucky diesel owners
