Time for a new alternator, I guess, ed. OR maybe it's just the bearings. Did you put in new bearings when you replaced the brushes? That's usually a good idea. I'm sure they wear at the same rate. Anyway, you know what the problem is and what you have to do. Not a fun job on the PT.

After deleting the fault code it hasn't come back even though i drove it home yesterday and to work today. When googling around on the code i found a mopar page where they said that the sensor normally stops working around 100.000 miles so they change it as a precaution. That's why i wanted to know if anybody has the same experience? I ordered a new sensor yesterday so i should be fine i hope.
Mine went out around 154K IIRC.

On a hilarious note, one of my wipers blades snapped in half yesterday. Got some new ones and installed them during a tropical storm. I pulled into a parking deck across from work to change them out of the rain.

Cool Re: What did you do to your PT today?

Just got back from an approximately 900 mile road trip to Hershey, Pa for the AACA swap meet and car show. Saw lots of amazing old cars and trucks.
The PT ran perfectly there and back.

Yes it does, depending on which direction the wind is blowing and where you are...

Yesterday, I replaced the tailgate lift supports on my 2003 LE (42.5K miles) with new ones on sale (Strongarm) from Rock Auto. The job was fairly simple, made easy by a T-40 torx socket and a 2x4 to hold up the tailgate. They were a perfect fit.
