Christine went in for her annual NYS inspection. I ended up donating $498 to the shop. One bulb out of the three center mount had to be replaced. The battery was dead when they went to start it so it was replaced (battery in it was at least 4 years old). One tire was so close to a fail, it and one other were replace. Also had the oil changed. The Rogue is in the shop right now for tire rotation and oil change. I also did my registration online also. The best part is that the inspection and registration was not due until next month. I figured I have the money now, so why not.

Today i washed the bottom of the gearbox since it seems to be leaking quite a lot (during a year that is) and i have to go to state inspection on Wednesday and they don't like leaky cars. As you can see it's only wet on the outer side and completely dry on the drivers side driveshaft. Could it be that seal that's leaking or where else could it be leaking?

I think i found the leak, It looks like the rubber cap for filling is leaking. Does anybody know where i could buy a new one?

Drove around town with my wife, came home and cleaned off my battery - I didn't realize it was from 2015! Cleaning the battery should take care of my parasitic drain issue for another while.

My rehab project PT #2 is officially on the road today. Passed safety cert, and is insured and ready to rock and roll.

Now to start planning and collecting parts for the timing belt change, and the next stuff to replace.


and PT #1 is on the disabled roster, and may have to retire from the game.

Now that Arkansas monsoon season has ended and we are in the sunny springtime, I've pulled my little PT out of mothballs and have been driving it while running errands. I'm about to do a little electrical upgrade when the stuff comes in.

Welp, replaced a lose outer tie rod two days ago and had the alignment done today. Mechanic said the throw-out bearing was leaking and to just keep an eye on the fluid level. Guess the next thing to take care of with be the clutch when I get the money.

Pulled the junker out of storage to do some Lowes or Home Depot transporting of materials for the garden and house summer projects. What does PT stand for Personal Truck? LOL
