I don't think I have put more than 500 miles on mine in the past year... and most of that was in one weekend trip to the beach and back.

But I have a company van that sometimes see 300+ miles in a day!

Replaced the battery today... the specific gravity still looked OK but the battery gets changed out every 3-4 yrs regardless. Cleaned up the connections and replaced the air filter at the same time.

This morning, I replaced the entire rear suspension. New springs from Moog, KYB Gas-A-Just shocks, new swat bar end links, new swat bar bushings, new bumpers from Energy Suspension, new lateral arms and a new watts link. Got everything properly lubed with white lithium grease, and torqued to spec. I didn't even know that the trailing arm bushings were a thing, but they look ok-ish (For 191K) and I don't feel like going through hell to replace them..... So nah.

For the bumpers, the new ones from ES are a tiny bit bigger, and were nearly impossibke to get in. I can't get the bolts to go in, so for now, they are just stuck in there, albeit very tight. I'll get some longer bolts and try again.

Now to do the front end! The rear rides silently and amazing, although it's a little stiff. I'm sure itll settle in soon.

SOLD IT

It's been a long, strange, fun and frustrating five years since I rescued the little car from the clutches of the auto dismantlers. She was hurt bad back then.

She purrs and looks better than she did five years ago.

So long to a love/hate relationship.

I will kinda miss that little cutie.

Oil/filter change at Pep Boys.
As usual the manager matched the lowest priced advertised oil change price which was $19.95. That worked out to $24.46 with tax and disposal fee. Pep Boys uses Quaker State.
As a back up, as I usually do, I bought two quarts of Quaker State SAE 5W-30 oil at $10.52 with my veteran's discount from Auto Zone. Quite a savings. I couldn't do it that cheaply.

Applied my new chrome bumper accents to my rear bumper (sold the front ones) and will be taking my '03 into the body shop tomorrow to straighten up the front end - new bumper (which cracked and was falling off) and new driver side fender (which I damaged trying to replace the headlight). Just need to buff out some clearcoat damage and all will be perfect.

Here's a photo of the new bumper chrome:

Unhappy Re: What did you do to your PT today?

It's pollen season here!

Hoping for some rain to clear the air and wash some of this crap off everything!

I blew on two spots to move the pollen:

Question Re: What did you do to your PT today?

What kind of trees are raining down all that pollen?
