Warmed up to near 70 today in OkieLand.
So, I finished repairing the convertible front bumper from rock chips and filling the front license plate holes.

For some reason at the center, the first time ended up with some slight bubbles, as if the primer, although dry, wasn't compatible with my rattle can body color. Almost had a marbling look to it.
But, fixed it today.
72 hrs, then buff out.

Installed a new tail light on black car. The original was loose with a broken retaining clip. New lense was $38 from the internet. Better than $43 wanted for a used one from pick-your-part junk yard.

Some junkyards are nuts. Years ago they wanted thousands more for a totaled car + parts than the same car, undamaged, but with 30,000 more miles. Then I'd have to fix it and title it salvage.

Not being a fan of door dings, I've been using these door guards on SOOO BIG for years. They're 24" sections
from a swimming noodle with 3 imbedded strong magnets. I noticed today in a windy rain the front door unit
dislodged. Installed a 10" section of PVC pipe joining the 2 sections as one. It worked. 6 strong magnets instead of 3.

Did a full interior clean and detail, plus a wash, claybar and wax! Looking super clean and shiny!

Sad, but necessary...
I dropped off the new to me vert at my fav dealer this morning.
There was no service record for the tranny or timing belt.
So, better safe than sorry. I will have them check a few other things and program a back-up keyfob.
My guess is they won't have her done until next week

Buffed up the bumpers I had DIY painted.
And, installed the new headlight assemblies with LEDs.
See more pictures on my PT Project Thread.

Probably overkill, but did the annual trans fluid and filter change... only what comes out of the pan gets drained, no flush (the Dorman pan with drain plug makes it nice). Takes about 5 qts ATF+4 to refill. Still haunted by memories of the old A604 so hence my over maintenance of the tranny.
