Default Will probably have to sell my P.T.

I'm trying to figure out a fair price. Anyone who has followed, knows that I have about $1100 total into mine for the new timing belt kit, cam sprocket, water pump, radiator, lower hose, bushings, lower control arms, headlights, spark plugs and wires, and the original purchase price. Previous owner put one of those uber fancy aftermarket radios in it. I still have the factory one.

It still has three issues, right rear window does not work, it has the random stumble that I have never had the time to delve into more than a few quick pokes, and the fog light switch is bad (fuse pulled). Lower valance is broken, it has the homer simpson wrinkle on the right fender, and the fog lights are white from overspray from some form of paint work in it's history. It starts, runs, drives good. 157k on the clock, and it completed a 3,000 mile cross country road trip in it's current condition.

I want to ask $1500 for it. Am I nuts?

Depending where you are. In the Eastern part of the country, they pay more for PT Cruisers. In the West it will be harder to sell.
A month ago, a Chevy dealer advertised $3000 for a trade in, any make, any condition.

I think you have your Pt Cruiser priced about right.

The 2002 Pt Cruiser in my area is going for $1300 but it needs a water pump.

Yeah, I've seen those "sales" Check out the numbers. When they do that, they inflate the sale price of the newer vehicle by a similar amount, in effect making you give them your trade, thinking you got amazing money for it.

That's a fair price considering all the work you've done on it.
