Default Rear running lights and break lights out

Hey guys

I have a issue my red running lights are out and so are my break lights. All three are out I checked the bulbs and the fuses and replaced the break switch still nothing. I do not have the money to pay a shop $80.00 a hour to figure out what is wrong with the car I am ready to shot myself or the damn car. HELP.

Check your fuses under the hood, I forget which 2 to check...I think it's in the teen or twentys....sorry. It is not marked as brake, I have it posted on site somewhere...

Have you checked fuse #3 under the hood. The main brake lamps have no fuses and are controlled by the TIPM. If the third brake lamp is also out check fuse #3 as that fuse feeds the brake switch

Yeah I checked all the fuses #14 was bad but I changed it and that did not work. I had my AC serviced 4 months ago and three days ago when the lights went out I opened the goodness and found a wrench that is not mine could it have shorted something out?

+1

If you have a voltmeter check the voltage on both sides of fuses 3, 8, & 13. The fuses might be good but you might not be getting voltage to those fuses.

Is there anything else not working besides the running lights, brake lights, and windows?

Yes the hazard lights are working. Trying to remember where my meter is to check the voltage and ground. But is there any way a wrench left under hood could of hit something that shorted something out. As I said I got the AC serviced 4 months ago. When all three red lights went out I popped the hood and this #11 snapon wrench fell on the ground
