Default "$250" PT Cruiser is all done! (Pictures)

Everything is offically done! Dropping it off at a shop tonight to get the safety certificate, than I will be driving this every day for the foreseeable future.

Planning on driving it 225KM Friday and another 200 Saturday for some family christmas stuff

Obviously this car didn't really cost me $250 after everything is done. Here is a price brakedown:

2006 PT Cruiser $250
Service Ontario TAX+Initial Registration $84.50
Cloyes Timing Kit + Fram Oil Filter $111.97
NAPA Gates Timing Belt $56.94
15CM M12-1.75 Bolt + Washers $4.75
Engine Cleaning Foam $11.30
Motor Oil 5L $18.79
Various Electronic Connectors (Ground repair) $20
Ontario Safety Test $113
License Plate Sticker $140
License Plate $57
Used Winter Tires/rims $256

This brings us to a total of $1123.84 CAD
Or with the current exchange rate $876.95USD

I think that is an extremely good price for a car with 160,000KM with no mechanical issues, a new set of tires and including the registration fees!!!

Here are some nice pictures of the car:

I would like to thank every single member of the forum who replied to anyone of my probably annoying threads requesting help/advice. I have never done more than change sparkplugs and tires on a car in my life. (I have lots of experience with boat and snowmobile engines, But little with car engines) and I truly couldn't have done it without the help of you guys. Thank you!

Honestly cannot belive this guy sold it for $250, I didn't negotiate. He gave me his service records, in early 2015 he spent 3k on the car and throughout his short ownership he put 3k in maitenece and hated this car. The scrapyard offered $250 so he wanted $250 from me

Better price than my $900 '03 GT with 25k miles. Especially once I realized the wheels had rusted/peeled away with age and had to order new ones.

And your color is so much better than the "beige" that I ended up with.

Build sheet lists it as "Inferno Red Crystal"

This is my first car and all my life my parents cars have all been boring colors.

There current cars have the identical boring GM silver.

Really love the color

Good for you.
I'm glad you didn't torch it and that the only flames on the car are decals.
