Default Driver's Rear View Mirror

Hi all and Happy New Year from frozen Boston.

Last Saturday I bought a 2010 Dream Couture Edition. I have to street park so I called a local dealer if there is an optional power FOLD AWAY mirror. Yes, it's only $185. So guys and gals, are the mirrors the same shape and size from '01 to '10? Oh yes, there's more. My mirrors are not heated. How can I connect power - fold away - heated mirror when I don't have the same connection?

Thanks in advance for your feedback. Please email me directly: jad.1151@gmail.com. 😎

Many 2001 PT Cruisers had the folding mirrors. That means that currently, these may be the most common types of mirrors in many salvage yards. You can likely go pick up a set for under $20. You just need a trim pry tool and a 10 mm wrench. For the heated mirrors, if you can find a salvage PT with the mirrors you want, you can likely get the wiring too. The problem is that the folding ones are on 1st Gen PT's. So the mirror heating wiring will be different on your 2nd Gen PT but you can likely figure it out. Just study the wiring diagrams for both types of PT's. Here's some copies of both service manuals from my Google Drive. They will have the diagrams:

Yep. They are just power-adjustable mirror that will fold in by hand. I figure all the 2001 Limited's had them. Maybe some 2002 and 2003 models as well. Some are heated too.

Here's a new one for sell on Amazon for $35:
