Default Car alarm

Hi please can any body help me, just fitted a new battery on my pt cruiser 2003
Now my car alarm keeps going off old battery was off car over night. Thanks len

Looking through a 06+ manual, there is a siren and different alarm system for non USA / Canada / Mexico market cars. The ROW 06+ cars had a siren just ahead of the left front door hinge, under the fender.

There is also mention of an intrusion alarm that uses ultrasonic sensors to determine if someone has entered the car. ( like breaking a window. )

Please be specific as to what conditions are present before and when the alarm is sounding.

Start your car & the alarm should go off.
Drive it around or let it idle for about 10 min. to let the computer know the battery is in place.
