Does anyone know where there is a lookup to check if an ECU number (such as 123AA) would be an NGC3?
Would like to get an NGC3 to program for my 2003 GT. Randy

It's a round about way but have a look on car-part.com , sometimes the salvage yards post numbers.

Is the full part number 05094123AA? If so, then yes, that one is NGC3 and a good one to use.

![]() ![]() Actually that was just a pull a number out of ..., well, just a made up number. But if I find one, ![]() Do other 04 05 models (Durango or what ever) use NGC3's? Mine is an auto, so any NGC3's with 4 populated connectors would work? Randy

Bought ECU #05033291AD, stated as "2004-2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser ECU"
Trust this is NGC3. Right?

It is NGC3, but not compatible with turbo programming. Generally that part number is 04, but some very early 05s did use it. The vast majority of non turbo automatic 05s used 05033327 which are good for turbo. 05 Neon automatics (05094119) are good too.

But it can be programmed for my 03 PT GT right? I have been looking over the forums for a time and it seems like a non GT NGC3 from an 04 to 05 can be setup for an 03 GT according to a number of various threads. It did not state it was off a GT which was what I was looking for as the GT's seem to degrade the ECU from heat.
Actually, what I intend is to get a tune and tuner for E85. Some time back as I was researching, it looked like there were two options, one offered a tune and the other a tuner and tune. My intent is to research economy. E85 is cheaper and I would like to optimize for MPG. I bought a PT GT with this in mind. As a side note, my GT has some very peculiar problems dealing with heat. I have run across some threads with possibly similar traits. It runs fine during cooler weather but acts up in hot weather. Started a tread some time back about it. I wonder if it may be ECU related.
