Default What Wiper Blades are you guys using?

Time to get some new wiper blades, Curios to what you guys are using. The ones on the front were on the car when I got it, Worked really well but this grimey winter took there toll on them.

I replaced the rear one when I got the car certified with a motomaster one, but its so crap I think ill replace it too after just 3 months, it really sucks. Thinking about getting Rain-X ones because I like Rain-X products.

What do you guys use? Would you recommend them?

A few things.

Make sure the wiper arm is putting pressure on the blade. The rear on mine was stuck and not pressing the blade to the glass. Oil on the pivot and working it solved the problem.

Be sure not to run wipers across ice, they will shred regardless of brand.

On another board, some used coated rain x stuff with streaky results. I use regular blades.

I like the beam type. I have the Michelin beam type on my PT. I've got the Bosch Icon wipers on my Charger. The last set I bought were the Trico "Neoform" wiper blades for my Dodge Quadcab.

Advance Auto had them on sale. They were still over $30. Why have wiper blades gotten so expensive for anything decent.

My02RedRide and JDK52 like this.

Duralast Max from Autozone. Work great and the price is right.

I really like the beam type like Handy posted. I have used several different brands on several different vehicles and they all have worked much better than the old style wipers!

rockauto has the best prices on all styles of wiper blades!
The Trico NeoForm blades are $7.32 for the 20" and $7.33 for the 21" right now...

I have good luck with the RainX brand from WalMart, they're quiet and clean the glass good.

I've tried a couple different brands of the beam style but found that the passenger blade didn't contact the glass all the way to the bottom of the swing, and the blade on the rear glass didn't keep full contact with the glass at the top of the swing and left some glass not cleaned.

I tried the Silblade brand but found they "squeaked" or "chirped" a little too much for me. They have even replaced them several times for me under their warranty.

Not too long ago, I just found another set while cleaning my apartment. This was my sale thread for them:

Silblade Premium Wiper Blades - 1 set Blue/1 set Black

The Silblade is a premium set and was $80 when I purchased them.

https://www.amazon.com/Silblade-WB12...=silblade&th=1

This set looks brand new as I can't tell that I had ever installed them. They are black blades with black frames.

You can have them for the price of shipping to Canada.

I just replaced all 3 OEM 17yrs old windshield wipers on my 02 PT Cruiser. It was a bit of a learning experience for this old codger.

I ordered a set of cheap ANCO's at about $1.50 ea and a set of more expensive TRICO's at about $4.50 ea.

ANCO's showed up first and got installed all around. Guess the quality difference must be in the rubber by all appearances they were identical to my OEM's.

Guess I'll have the TRICO's as backups.

Things tend to last a bit longer on my rides since they are all very infrequently driven and are kept in a somewhat climate controlled environment.

All ordered from RockAuto
