Default Accepting Rim Rash, or show us your old PT Wheels

I've notice that the outer edges of some of SOOO BIG's wheels have gotten what I call a rim rash. I think one was a park by ear curb scrape incident by a previous owner and the others are from tire changes and balance weights added and removed. You'll notice I've opted for the newer style padded weights that don't throw off as readily or deteriorate like the older style. I'm passed the stage of minding if the weights are front, visible mounted. That seems the best way to achieve a better balance.

I'm hope those owners of PTs exposed to snow, sleet and salt on the road with PT wheels that are showing their age'll take comfort in my acceptance of the aged condition of SOOO BIG's wheels.
Call it the "patina of age". Not "Rim Rash"

Keeping in mind that these wheels are now over eighteen years old, I look down at my wrinkled old toes and think to my self, SOOO BIG's wheels don't look that bad at all. I tried a little bit of TLC with some steel wool and they look good enough to me. They're all still in good balance, hold air and no serious damage.

I'm sure some garage kept PTs have wheels that have weathered better than SOOO BIG's.

How do your old rims look?

Yea I hate those. The newer lead free steel ones with the plastic coating are LOL ugly.

My et streets took 1.75oz on the outer rim to balance.

Not sure how old the wheels are on my PT.
Yours are much nicer then mine.

These are the alloy's I got used. They are from a Dodge SX 2.0 from 2003-2005 I think , these are just my winter tires. Appear to be curbed a good amount.

My steelies are somewhat new? My build sheet and the door jam says my car came with 16' tires. But they are missing. My car has probably the gnarliest carfax I have ever seen. Now it just has 15' steelies and hub caps, and they look fine.

As I mentioned, I'm in a state of acceptance with SOOO BIG's wheels. I'm passed going for looks. I don't mind the visual of the front mounted weights. Call 'em "wheel candy."
