Hey Guys,
Got stuck on the road the other day and had to be towed in my 2003 PT. No forward or reverse. Every once in a while I could get it to move a few feet but then it would slip as if it was in neutral. Sometimes I hear a sort of grinding sound (same sound as if you were really low on power steering fluid) I hooked my scan tool up to the car and got a Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfunction code. Could anyone shed a little light on this for me. I don't have a service manual yet and do all my own work, so I would like to know what I might be in for. Thanks! |

All I can say is that I had a similar problem, went to the dealer. they replaced the entire torque converter assembly... Thank god it was under waranty!!!
My problem was not as serious as yours though, I felt some slippage and a few days before going to the dealer, it started to whine... Since then, I have broblems with leaky CV-joint Boots... The car is going again to the dealer on Twesday. Ian
