Default AC Issues

Looking for some advice, I think the next step is to put new pressure switches in it.

Getting pretty frusterated with my AC, It still doesn't work right.

Timeline:

Last year previous owner had the AC Compressor lock up and throw shavings in the system, The previous owner just had the compressor replaced with a used unit, there was no freon in the system at this time, it had leaked out before the compressor locked up, and did not have the system flushed, they could not afford it.

I got the ac system flushed out of all the shavings, vacuumed, filled with dye and R134a, The AC Compressor Clutch was bad.

About a week later I sourced a used clutch, and had the shop install it.

Next day the AC Compressor clutch cycled on and off randomly, Took it back and they said the radiator fan low speed was not working, Causing the high side to become too high and kick off the AC.

2 days later I replaced the fan with a new unit.

AC still doesn't work

I don't have a lot of money, Full time student who works part time, I have spent a lot of money getting the AC to this point, wondering the next steps, it seems to have odd behaviour, and when I first turn the car on when its cold, it seems to cycle the compressor on and off a few times before shutting off.

My code scanner showed a pending p0532 code, I cleared it and it has not come back

With the engine cold, start the engine, turn on the A/C. Does the radiator fan come on almost immediately?

If radiator fan comes on check on the wires going to the A/C.
P0532 - A/C refrigerant pressure sensor circuit low voltage.

no

The pressure sensor on the accumulator does not make any noise, I watched a youtube video and if you shake it, it should click right? Mine is silent

Swapped out the pressure switch and it works great! I haven't had the AC working yet in my car, when I thought it was working it was just the fan, so happy!
chuzz likes this.
