Default Routing Of Horn Wire?

Hello All,

My 2003 Limited which I bought about 6 months ago was obviously in an accident by the previous owner that resulted in him have to replace front passenger fender and headlight.

Whoever did this work for him did not do a very complete job. They did not put the radio antenna from the old fender in to the new one (or sell him a replacement) and there is no horn installed. I do see what I think is the ground wire for the horn which ends up at a clip to the car's body metal but I do not see the hot wire.

Does anyone know where the hot wire originates from before it ends up inside the fender? I have a WOLO Bad Boy air horn I want to install and I probably don't want it in the original location anyway. An ideal situation would be if I could find the horn hot wire somewhere under the hood so I can run my own wire to the location I choose to mount the Bad Boy horn.

Thank You,

Scott DeStefanis

This is where I mounted my Bad Boy air horn, onto an L-bracket held in place by the canister mounted onto the frame. Very easy to install, no drilling and it tucks up into the corner of the fender and bumper. You only need to pull back the fender liner to install it.

Thank you rckstein but you're not understanding my main issue. I can not find the hot wire to my horn. There is a loose wire under the fender but it has a round connector, not the flat push on type I would expect.

I was more responding to giving you a suggestion of where to mount the horn. I can't respond to the wiring issue as I have no idea what changes or modifications have been done to your PT.

The power wire to the horn(s) is dark green/ red
The turn-out for the horn wiring is by the right front fog connector turn-out
The wiring harness runs across the front of the vehicle in front of the radiator
