Ok i looked under the hood of my New/used 2003 PT today What kind of set up is this battery ? If one ever needed to boost it ..how would one do this ?.. With regular cables ? and what do you do with the red plastic cover on the pos post ? Just something id like to know in advance Thx... |

The positive and negative booster cable locations are clearly marked.
The procedure is detailed in your owners manual. This is not abnormal for new cars to have the battery hidden. My 10 year old Mazda has it in the trunk. |

Regular cables. Pull the red plastic cover off for jumping - it helps prevent accidental shorts.
If you get an aftermarket air intake, you can see the battery.
