power window question
I have a 2006 pt cruiser. My right rear passenger window was stuck at the bottom and would not go up. I took it to Meinike. They told me to get another part. I went to pick a part (LKQ) and got a part today out of a 2007 pt cruiser. it's a plastic t shaped thing with 2 clips that the window fits into. The window was all the way rolled up (of course) and it was hard to get out but I peeled out the rubber liner around the window and was able to get it out of the junked car.
So I put this part in my car and plugged it into the power clip. It went down so that was exciting. The problem is it that it didn't go up, just like my original part. The front switch panel on my car will not roll the window up, but I believe if memory serves it went down. The rear switches in the back seating area work. But it would only make the window go down also. I pushed down on the switch for just a second to make it go down which it did, but when I tried up it would not go back up. So if both parts will go down and refuse to go up, and neither switch works on up, that tells me that the part is good but there is some other issue. Am I wrong?
How is it that all the other window switches work the windows up and down and one of them does not?
Does it mean the regulator is bad on the part itself? (and on my original part)
