Default Fixed ?? meh

awhile back i lowered the car with some springs.. the ride was ok.. i kinda figured it wasnt going to be as good as stock, but w/e.. as time went on the car just seemed to ride like crap.. finally got tired of it and decided im just gonna throw the stock springs back in .. did that and it rode so much better. but one day i was laying under the car and noticed the right rear shock was soaked and leaking all over my wheel.. made me go " hmm maybe thats why it rode like dog sh*t".. so i ordered some kyb gas adjust rear shocks, and at the same time threw the lowering springs back in.. my god, what a difference. i mean its still a lowered pig but it rides soooo much better now.. and not like a lil but day and night difference.. i mean you still get the bouncing lowered car ride but, now i can hit bumps and not worry ill rip the car apart..

Funny you should say that - I have been looking at KYB gassers for when I put my -30mm's on the back. Good to hear some positive feedback on them

Where can you find rear only lowering springs? The front is fine but the rear rides a bit high... factory.. would look much better lowered about 1/2 to 1" lower... level the stance.

I got mine S/H off eBay for a snip. They're Eibachs. The bloke was breaking a PT and selling the front and backs separately. I don't want lowered, but I want the back down so I snapped them up.

Eibachs are 120 Euros a set new (over here, not sure in the States) so not too expensive to buy a full set and just fit the back ones?

I have heard that the gas adjust KYBs are good. I have a set waiting for me at home to try when I return home from vacation.

Whatever you do, do not get the KYB GR-2/Excel-G. These will make your car bounce...not the usual lowered car bounce, but bounce like you are driving a 1970 Cadillac when you go over the slightest depression in the road. They are complete garbage. The Gas adjust are supposed to be really good as svtnos has found.

I can't wait to get home so I can try out the gas adjusts and feel the sweet ride.
