Default 2003 PT Touring wonít start.

I was driving down the road and all of a sudden my engine light kicked on and the engine died. No stutter that I can remember. It will crank and sounds like everything pressurizes on all cylinders but it doesn’t ignite. I checked the little plug where the timing belt is and the gears are moving. I have power so wasn’t altinator or battery. The weird thing is, it won’t show an error code when I do the ignition trick. Any help would be great. I have put in so much work on this car myself and hate to call a junk car place to buy it.

As a reference, this is what I have replaced myself:
Heater core
Brakes
Control arms both sides
Tie rods and ends both sides
Cv joints both sides
Upper and lower motor mounts
Crank shaft position sensor
Belts for power steering and altinator
Both multifunctional switch’s
Ignition cylyndar
Purge control valve
New spark plugs and wires

This car was previously owned and had it for 4 years and have done lots of other minor things like replacing whole tail lights and replacing missing fuses. All fuses are fine by the way.

Are you getting spark to the plugs? How long since the crank sensor has been replaced?

Iím going to rent an error code reader tonight. I havenít checked the spark plugs. Was checking everything major I could think of and so far nothing. Had my dad look at it and he thinks itís either the what I call the distributor but know itís not called that or the fuel pump went out. He tried to start it and can here the switch to turn on the fuel pump but donít hear the pump running. So we will see what the code reader says if there was a code stored at all. If nothing shows up, then we will check the spark and the fuel line. Oh, the crank sensor was just replaced like a month ago.

With what brand?

PT's can be finicky about aftermarket parts, especially for any of the sensors.

I would suggest getting some starter fluid and spray it in the throttle body. If it starts to run then check grounds and power going to the fuel pump.

So I got that error code tester. At first it shown no error and then I tried to start it. Then it shown 2 errors. The crankshaft and camshaft position sensor circuit. So both went at at once? Or is it just the camshaft sensor? I got the P0340 and P0335.

With the camshaft sensor and the crankshaft sensor they must be compatible with each other so that is why I always buy OEM sensors. This might be why you are getting codes for both of them. You should first check the wiring going to both sensors and contacts to make sure they are okay.

when your crank and cam both aren't working at the same time is more likely to be a wiring failure than a sensor failure. you're engine is never going to fire unless these sensors are working great. so the above is a good first check here.
second, starter fluid is a cheap and fast troubleshooting step.

Check the fuses again
Always check fuses and fuse continuity
Do not judge by appearance
If the fuel pump is not pressurizing, fuse #11 in the dash fuse-block is likely bad
This fuse will also shut down the engine control module needed for ignition

EDIT The crank and cam sensors get power from the engine control module (PCM) and both send signals to the PCM
Because one of the multiple power circuits to the PCM is broken by the open fuse, you are getting NEW error messages
They are not your problem
